Instructional Videos or DVD’s
The new videos are now available. I’m very pleased with them. I sincerely
believe that they are the best instructional videos ever made for students to learn Wire Art Jewelry. Those who have purchased the videos have been extremely complimentary, stating that the photography, the close-ups and explanations are so good,
that they can learn the craft without requiring any other instruction.
There are 4 videos or DVDs with 12 projects (almost 8 hours of instruction and projects)

My approach in the classes and on the
videos is to teach a number of foundations to provide structure and strength for the piece and how to secure stones in place. Once these fundamentals are understood the student can adapt them to any design
for any stone or item to be made into a piece of Wire Art jewelry.
My designs tend to be clean and simple but I discuss and show variations on the projects to help students to develop their
own style. During my 12 years of teaching Wire Art Jewelry to hundreds of students, I have observed that students soon develop their own unique styles, It happens every time.
The first video in the series has an extensive explanation of the basics. Many finished pieces of Wire Art Jewelry are shown to demonstrate the wide range of design possibilities open to
the Wire Artist. The construction of the basic bracelet is demonstrated at the end of this first tape because it incorporates many techniques used on almost all wire art projects.
Also on the first video is a thorough discussion of the characteristics of gold-filled and silver wire and the importance of using the correct wire for the various projects. Essential tools, tool features and tool preparation are shown. Some optional tools that will make projects easier are also discussed.
Work techniques are demonstrated so that even a beginning student will be able to produce nice pieces. New students (and
some who are more experienced) share common problem areas. On the videos I discuss these common problems and show how to avoid them, so students can produce beautiful pieces much
more quickly than if they try to learn on their own.
The other three videos each have three or four projects. Shortcuts and techniques are explained with every project.
Quick and easy, elegant projects that sell well and have a high margin of profit are included for students wishing to make extra income at craft fairs.
